So who’s this MAKOTI everyone’s talking about?
A bit of an anomaly, I guess. At the same time MAKOTI is a Sought After Artist and Angelique van Nieuwenhuizen is a Highly Skilled Financial Advisor.
I’m Perpetually Grateful for the Adventure that is Life, and Love the fact that no two days are alike.
Family and Friends are highly valued and I enjoy spending time at home with my Dogs and Love being Outdoors.
I’m a World Traveller and find beauty everywhere I go.

Creativity is woven into every fibre of my being, it courses through my veins and brings Bliss to my Soul.
I’m happy, whether I’m preparing complex financial planning solutions or immersing myself in my latest Art work.
As with financial planning, my artwork is highly detailed and deserves a closer look. People often say: ” OMW this is better than the photograph”

I probably held a paint brush and chewed my crayons long before I could walk. Not formally trained, my first actual lessons in Oils were with Frans Venter in my home town of Mossel Bay. I later joined Olga Hoffman’s evening classes where I experienced the most remarkable growth and development. Olga taught me how to See and Interpret the vast universe that is Colour. I also attended a portrait painting workshop with the incredibly talented Elize Bezuidenhout who graciously shared her wisdom. During Lock-down I joined an Eye Opening online Contemporary Art workshop with Terry Stephens where i bravely tried Acrylic paint for the first time. I am currently enrolled in a 3 year Soul Care course (using art in therapy) with the esteemed Multimedia artist and Soul Care practitioner Frans Cronje who has already taught me so many incredible Multi-media art techniques that I never knew existed. “it’s just art” he would say… soothing my inner perfectionist.

Whether Painting larger than Life Murals, Hosting Creative Workshops, Designing and Producing Fancy Dress Costumes, Dancing, Sewing, Beading, Cooking, Gardening, Drawing, Painting, honing my skills as a Carpenter or Welding, as long as I’m creating and sharing beauty into this world, I’m Pharrell Williams Happy.
